Dual SIM mobiles phones were launched not very long ago and ever since they were, it was a huge success in the market, mostly benefit by frequent travellers. Dual SIM phones are very much advantageous for people for work as they don’t have to carry two phones, one for their personal and for work. So how about an Android phone with dual SIM capability? There is not one recognized dual SIM Android phone in the market yet but still some of the low powered phones out there seem to be pretty liked by some. Viewsonic V350 runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo) and also has access to the Android market and hence you can enjoy the included over 200,000 apps. Viewsonic V350 is GPS enabled, includes gravity sensor and claims to support augmented reality applications. Viewsonic V350 is powered by 600 MHz Qualcomm processor, 512 MB internal RAM, while the external memory can be expanded up to 32 GB. It is of course 3G and WiFi enabled and featues a 5 MP camera.
GIGA-BYTE, a manufacturer from Taiwan has introduced an elegant dual SIM capable Android phone running Froyo. Some of the significant features included in the phone are 3.5-inch capacitive display, 5MP camera, WiFi and GPS. The manufacturer has given some importance to social networking. You get dedicated apps for Facebook and Twitter and guess what? It is now possible to share phones to your profile just from your phone. The phone has Dual SIM standby mode unlike many other so called dual SIM phone yet lacking standby mode. Standby mode is nothing but that you can you both your SIM at the same time.
New Generation Mobile (NGM) has launched a dual SIM full touch screen phone powered by Dual Core 624 Mhz processor. The phone features a 5MP camera supported by Auto Focus. The phone has an internal memory of 32 MB while the external memory can be expanded up to 16 GB. The 3-inch display has a resolution of 240x400p and supports up to 260k colors. It has dual SIM standby mode and hence you can make use of both the SIM at the same time.
DSTL1 should definitely be at the bottom of the dual SIM capable Android phones chart as it runs only the Cupcake (v1.6). DSTL1 is powered by a 624 Mhz processor and features Radio, Bluetooth and EDGE. Its 5MP camera with auto focus is worth mentioning. External memory can be expanded up to 16 GB while 4GB comes as default.
Moto Glam was not a great buzz around the world but still is one of the best Android phone when considering the dual SIM capability. Moto GlamXT800 features a 5 MP camera with autofocus and runs on Android 2.1 (Éclair). There are not many features worth mentioning except the GPS, external memory expandable up to 32 GB etc. There is some rumor that the phone will be powered by a 550 MHz processor but what made us surprised is also that it would be powered by 720 MHz one. We have to wait until August to witness it.
Eclipse is the first dual SIM Android phone in the market and from chinavasion. Running on Android 2.2, the Eclipse features a 3.2-inch touch screen. The phone has access to the Android market and hence you can benefit from the thousands of apps. The phone features only a 2 MP camera but the best part is it is powered by the 460 MHz processor support by the 256 MB RAM. Using the micro SD memory card, you can expand the external memory up to 8 GB.
