Rooting android 2.2 phones provides better application choices

Rooting your android 2.2 froyo phones allows you to make use of more and better features. Once you root your android phone it is possible to install a customized android OS which in turn provides improved performance and faster processing speed. As I told you earlier one of the great advantage of rooting is it provides better application choices because once your phone is rooted and installed with custom android OS, the user gets access to the main operating system files which is something similar to a superuser, hence there is no restriction to get the use of system files, this feature is very much helpful when you are looking to install non- market or third party applications to your phone. Usually with stock version phones it is not possible to install non- market apps, the reason is when you try to install any app to your phone, the app files has to get permission and access to the system files to process further, but these system files are locked and are not available to non-market apps unlike android market applications as there are some the restrictions set by manufacturer. So these are just some of the advantages if you are ready to root your, now let me guide you through the different steps  on how to root your phone, one of the simplest method is Superoneclick rooting. This tutorial also includes rooting and installation of non-market and third party applications which are not permitted in a stock version phone. So let’s start with rooting by an app called Superoneclick, as the name itself says it’s one click procedure with simple and easy to install. But before rooting let me remind you that rooting voids warranty.

Step 1. Download Superoneclick on to your desktop (it’s a zip file which you can extract on your desktop).

Note:    Superoneclick works only on windows based operating systems.

Step 2. Connect your Android Phone to your computer via USB cable, Select your android phone to USB debugging mode by going to SETTINGS select APPLICATIONS Then DEVELOPMENT choose USB Debugging option.

Step 3: Open SuperOneClick.exe which is extracted on your desktop.

Step 4: Click on the ROOT option, and wait for some time while the Superoneclick program starts rooting your android device.

Step 5: That’s it, now you have gained root access to your android phone, and has better functionality compared to its stock state. But with Superoneclick it’s not possible to unroot your phone.

Sometimes it happens we try to update firmware and try to get good and unique apps to be installed in our phones, and we keep searching for it, but once in a while these apps work. These are some of the situations when we think of rooting our phone and get access to install the different apps which are not available on market.
