Master Password+ is a password timeout extension for Firefox. This add-on locks the master security device after specified predefined time, after the specified time, user need to enter Master Password to unlock the saved password and user names. In this article we shall learn how to add and use Master Password+ on Firefox.
Step 1:
Open your Firefox browser.
Step 2:
Now click on the link given at the end of the article. Make sure that you have already set master password.
Step 3:
On clicking this link, a new window will appear on your screen. As shown in below image.
In this window, click on “Install” button.
Step 4:
On clicking this install button, Master Password+ add-on will be installed. Browser prompts for restarting, click on restart button.
Step 5:
Some of the features of this add-on are
1) prompts Master Password on Browser start up
2) duplicates Master Password prompts
3) locks up entire applications
Step 6:
On restarting of Firefox, a small window will appear on your screen. In this window enter your master password.
In this window you can also notice a field labeled as hours and minutes, set your desired timeout and click on OK button. Now again Master password+ will prompt to enter Master password after the time you have set is elapsed.
Step 7:
To customize settings of this add-on click on “Options” button. On clicking this button, a new window will appear on your screen, as shown in below image.
