All net users want their browsing data to be private. The reason behind this may vary. Opera browser offers a special feature for its users so that they can clear the private data within few simple steps. In this tutorial we shall learn how to delete private from your Opera Browser.
In Opera Browser’s menu bar click on “Tool” menu. On clicking Tool menu, a drop down menu appears on your screen, in this drop down menu click on “Delete Browsing History…”.
On clicking “Delete Private Data…” option, a new window will appear on your screen. As shown in below image.
In this window click on “Detailed Options”. On clicking this option we can notice many fields.
Checking on any field will delete that particular data.
Delete Session Cookies: Session cookies are nothing but a cookie which will be valid until the program is quit. On checking this option, that session’s cookies will be deleted from your hard disc.
Delete all Cookies: These cookies are similar to temporary cookies which stay in your hard disc even after browser is quit.
Delete password Protected pages and data: These data are usually referred to authentication details. These data include passwords and usernames which were used for logging in to certain sites.
Deleting entire Cache: Usually all web browser software stores images, pages and addresses of visited websites, by using these information, user can revisit those sites. On checking this field, entire cache data will be deleted from your hard disc.
Clear history of visited pages: Browser’s history maintains a record of all the websites you have visited. On checking this field, History of visited pages will be deleted.
Clearing history of downloads: Opera Browser stores a history of all downloaded files. On checking this option, all this data will be deleted from your hard disc.
Clear bookmark visited time: Opera browser will keep a track of time and date of all visited sites which you have bookmarked. On checking this field, all this data will be deleted from your hard disc.
Clear all email account passwords: Opera Browser saves all your email accounts passwords that you have set. On checking this field, all the passwords will be deleted from your hard disc.
Clear password manager: password manager is a feature of Opera browser which enables its users to store usernames and passwords. This feature also helps user to choose from multiple combinations.
Delete persistent Storage: Persistent storage is very much similar to cookies but with key and a value. This storage feature is available only at client side. By default 512 KB of our hard disc will be used for persistent storage. On checking this field, all the data stored in persistent storage block will be deleted.
Close all tabs: if you want your browser to quit after completion of deletion process, then check the box. This option is checked by default, but you can uncheck this if you don’t want to quit after deletion process.
After selecting fields which you want to delete click on “Delete” option. As shown in below image.
