Skoda Superb V6 4X4 VS W220 Mercedes Benz S350

Superb V6 and Benz are of the price but definitely not of the same class. Skoda’s Superb V6 is the latest variant of their highly successful flagship. Both the cars have powerful V6 engines and both are options for those needing something importantly different.

Superb V6 has freshness to its design. Superb V6 looks sporty with desired buldges. You cannot find any difference from earlier Superb at first look. Not even at the second or third look. You need to be an obsessive car nut to find the difference. The two main differences would be that the 17-inch ten spoke alloys and the other is the four tailpipes peeking out from under the rear bumper. The V6 is shaped sporty and it is sure to make a pretty picture. In the other case S350 belonging to the mid 2000s demands all due respect. With the Merc grille and the three pointed star it is enough for people make way for you.

Unlike V6, S350 does not have a sporty look but classy and luxurious. We cannot avoid saying that, despite its age, S350 is still a competent to the Skoda’s newest car. With excellent design mechanism of V6, you will not even know when you passed over those minor speed breakers. Although with those big ones, there will be a reflection. Though the seating arrangements are satisfactorily comfort with huge leg spacing, the seats would have been worked on with some extra support for taller passengers. Despite a huge space at the back seats, there are no gadgets disappointingly.

It cannot be that disappointing with everything at your hands reach. In the case of Merc, which is a long one, you will hear some echoes once you step in. S350 betrayed its age with its excellent interior design. It was not supremely comfort but is pleasing inside. The electrical seat adjustors look cool shaped in the form of the seat. With the depth in the seat you can sink avoiding prying eyes outside. The advantage of the front seat goes for the V6, if it is for rear the advantage is always with Merc.

Performance:

Superb V6 with a 260 bhp reaches 0-100 in 8.1 seconds. It is made possible by the 3597cc V6 engine. The car’s weighing 1750kg was not an issue with the powerful engine under the hoods. Superb V6 can attain a top speed of 240 kph. With that speed it is sure to keep you entertained the whole journey. Wanna play F1, the paddle shifter will you assist you well. Superb V6 is a cracker of a driver’s car. V6 provides extreme confidence for you to push to limits.

What about Merc then? S350 also being a V6 powered vehicle offers 254 bhp. With 1810kg weights it is bit more than the V6 but does not lags in its performance. It is not a sporty vehicle but rides gracefully in a straight road. It will not make you happy at tight turns but with its bulky corners it does not perform that bad. With its huge size, it might bother you in narrow roads or in heavy traffic. While thinking about the parking assistance and driving in narrow roads, Superb gets a plus. Overall in driving performance, Superb is a bit ahead of S350

Although S350 being a mid-2000’s vehicle, Superb could not overtake it in terms for comfort and charisma. S350 will definitely increase your status despite its huge investment. Is it all about it? No. Not at all. S350 will not be even in your list when driving mountain roads. There goes the advantage in favor of Superb. Both the beauties have 8 air bags despite traction control and ABS. Finally, Merc may triumph in the future, but for now, Superb it is.
