Design
When comparing the design of the U6 with that of its predecessor, the U5, we can find the new model to have a metallic exterior that is slick. The aluminum metal on the exterior of the player is sturdy and firm. It is well built but then it is not resistant to the scratches. The U6 is available in a couple of colors such as Pink and Black. Most of the controls and the keys are the same as in the previous model. One noticeable change is the absence of the backlight for the play/pause button. The extreme left side of the U6 has the power or lock button, back button and the menu button. The top edge of the player has the microphone and the 3.5 m headphone jack. The favorite aspect of the U6’s design is the press in, slide o tans lock type USB port. This type of USB port design is the traditional one for all the U series MP# players. This type of USB port makes it convenient to use the u6 as a MP3 player and a thumb drive. The display of the MP3 player is of 1 inch and it has a resolution of 128 x 64 pixels. It is actually a 4 line LCD display. It is not effective for any other purpose other than reading the title of the songs and the text menus.
Music Play
The U6 does not have the ability to access the iTunes as the iPods in a direct manner. But however this can be done indirectly. It is capable of imposing a touch competition to the iPods Nano of the current generation when it comes to the quality of music. The music can be played according to the playlists, album, songs and artists. It is distinct from the iPods when it comes to the browsing of the tracks that exist in the memory of the player or those that are recorded. The player has the Sound Alive alias DNSe, the new 5.1 channel stereo surround sound feature. The Sound Alive is a multimedia feature that offers different types of sound effects in order to suit the type of the music that is being played. It allows the users to choose between the auto, normal, concert hall, bass, tweeter, instrument and vocal just like an equalizer. The U6 is capable of offering excellent clarity. The high notes and the low notes are brilliant while the medium ones are unremarkable. The bass is too good and a different pair of headphones would offer decent bass.
Conclusion
The U6 is a simple to use and affordable MP3 player that is hassle free. The Samsung YP-U6QP is a sure alternative for the other players that are premium and expensive. Pros – stylish metallic body, light weight, durable construction, easy to use, good features, excellent sound quality, direct connection to the PC with the male USB port that is hidden and affordable price. Cons – small display, poor quality of headphone and the lack of backlights foe the play and navigation buttons.

Thanks a lot for that advice, have been looking quite a few nights for this.
