Review on Ford Focus 2010

This is a period of importing automobiles, especially cars, but Focus has proved by introducing Ford Focus which is affordable and reliable that local manufacturers are capable of producing quality cars. This would be the most efficient car on the road. It is available in two options as, stylish sedan and sporty coup. The mileage is the top story about this car despite including luxury, comfort and safety equipments. It has also come up with some innovative features.

Design:

The car’s design shows that it is not sleek but it is not bulky too. Chrome trim is seen over the body which is absent in its competitors and it is seen in many places especially at the front, in the grille. Focus has its own design like blackout grille, lower front face, fog lights and a spoiler. The dash is designed and accommodates control in an easy to use manner.

Features:

Even the base model has some attractive features. The SES version includes features like 16-inch wheels and performance tyres. Anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control are available for a smaller price. The notable feature of the Focus is the Sync which is in conjunction with Microsoft allow you to connect mp3 player, Bluetooth enabled cell phone playing music through the audio system.

Another important feature of the car is that the heated leather seating which cannot be seen in its class of cars. Base model come with 15-inch wheels, black mirrors and door handles. The car is available in three versions as SE, SES, and SEL. These three versions are available with optional body colors. Controls for Cruise and audio are located on the steering, although only for selected packages.

It has a 60/40 rear seats and comfortably accommodates two adults. The cargo spacing is high and deep with 13.8 cubic feet. There is an issue in the remote trunk opener as it opens the lock but doesn’t open it wide, which will become hefty when you have load in both hands. All the versions include air conditioning, steering adjustment, mp3 playable audio system and an auxiliary input jack

The SE comes with various options like power accessories, keyless entry etc. As for safety feature it has fully loaded front and side air bags. It has options for power moon roof and upgrade for audio system.

Performance:

Ford Focus is definitely not keeping up with the current trend of speed as it has only a 2.0 liter engine. Ford Focus is absolutely not a race car but for its performance on the road with just 140 hp and especially for a small price is amazing. The car can travel 35 miles for 1 gallon.

It has a 5-speed manual transmission and offers amazing mileage of 20’s in the city and 30’s in the highway. The cost of the sedan seems to be much worth its performance with pricing just $16,000 for basic trim and an additional $1000 for coup. The anti-lock brakes and stability control cost just another $800. A fully loaded SEL cost only around $22,000. Considering its price and performance it is much comparable to Toyota Corolla. However, Corolla does offer mileage as Focus does. Ford Focus seems to be much costlier than the entry level versa.
