Review on Apple iPad

Apple is finally unveiling its iPad after a decade of speculation and rumors. The model weighs about 1.5 pounds and its thickness may be approximately half an inch. It has touchscreen LCD display measuring 9.7 inches. Apple iPad runs on custom Apple A4 chip with a memory capacity of 1GHz which is developed by PA semi team. It is said to have a battery life of 10 hours of talk time and a month of standby time.

Apple iPad is said to be available in three different sizes namely 16, 32 and 64 GB. It has got a little expected connectivity namely a Bluetooth, 802.11 Wi-Fi, a speaker, 30-pin connector, optional 3G, a compass and an accelerometer.

It also supports a keyboard port that is meant for connecting in the portrait direction, and a camera attachment that allows user to take photos from the camera through USB or directly via an SD reader. The model is regulated by iTunes like iPhone, it can run iPhone apps as expected. The 3G version of the Apple iPad runs on version AT&T and that is embedded with the new data plans, an unlimited plan for $29.99 per month which is contract free with 250MB. Activations and Cancellations can be done in the handset itself. Every iPad comes with a GSM ‘micro-SIM’ which is unlocked hence it can be used anywhere and it seems to be emerging in this summer.

Apple iPad starts with the price tag of $499 for 16GB, $699 for 64GB and $599 for 32GB. The most exclusive model of Apple iPad series is one with 64GB/3G costing $829.
