The rear side has the control buttons on its right. It also has the input output connections that are covered with protective lids. The front side has a display of 10 inches with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The display is very good with good quality. It is capable of displaying even the smallest detail of a picture without performing a zoom. There is an accelerometer sensor that is responsible in changing the orientation of the display. Thus the display can viewed both vertically as well as horizontally. The design is made such that it attracts finger prints.

The navigation through the menu is great with the help of a remote control that is included in the package. The display produces images with realistic and vivid colors. They are not exaggerated and appear excellent. The quality is good with the default setting itself. The display has an aspect ratio of 15:9 and has good viewing angles. The viewing angles are good in all the directions except for when viewed from the bottom. The brightness of the display can be adjusted to make the images appear sharp and bright. It can display a maximum of 40 images side by side in the form of icons. The most interesting option is the zoom function along with the fit to screen option.  The images can be adjusted by using the Creative Edit feature.

The menu is smart and easy to use. The pictures from the internal memory as well as from the USB or the memory card load very quickly.  The auto play feature opens either on connecting a USB or on inserting a memory card. This allows the user to choose between options like display one image, display all images, view slide show or select the ones to display from each file. The HDMI port allows the users to connect the frame to a high definition monitor or television. The DPF-X1000 has a number of good features and a good display that produces quality images. The interface and the menu are snappy and easy to use. The design is sleek with high class look and quality. This has no big drawback and it is one of the best photo frames available in today’s market. The only issue is that it is noisy when in use. The display is excellent with nice resolution but it is prone to finger prints which needs improvement.
