The “Compaq Presario CQ60-615DX” is labeled as the true budget laptop. At $349, it includes “Intel Celeron processor”, 2GB Ram, a 250 GB hard drive, integrated Intel graphics chip and a 15.6” Display. Presario has still lot more to offer; it comes with roomy keyboard and well sized touchpad, bigger display and has solid in construction. It is worth more than Acer Aspire AS5532-5535 which is slower and cheaper than Presario.
If you are tired of cramped keys and small screens in the netbooks, you can look for this Presario. Similar to netbooks, it is powered by single processor which restricts the app performance, especially during multitasking. It handles basic tasks smoothly.
The Compact doesn’t feel like low end laptops. The laptop’s chassis has glossy plastic feel. A small Q logo is present in the middle of the lid. The screen has matte black finish and its wrist rest has silver finish. A long hinge is long enough to sturdy grip. The keyboard is rooms with a dedicated number pad. The matte finish keys are well sized. Overall, the typing is comfortable and convenient on this laptop. The mouse buttons are present at the bottom of the touch pad. The touchpad is in good size and offer smoother gliding.
The Presario weighs around 6.2 pounds, relatively heavy comparing to its rivals. It sports 15.6 inches screen, which offers the native resolution of 1,366×768-pixel and aspect ratio of 16:9. The display looks bright and crisp with vibrant colors. The screen is capable of displaying 720p video. Its integrated graphics chip “Intel GMA 4500M” is delivers smoother video experience. The Presario has Altec Lansing branded speakers, sounds reasonably better. They are loud and clear at higher volumes.
Obliviously, the Presario doesn’t cater higher end features like HDMI, eSATA ports and Express card slot. Sadly, the media card and web cam are present in this Presario. The Presario compromises little with port configuration comparing to its rival laptops. There is dedicated button to turn on/off the Wi-fi and you can also disable the touchpad to avoid accidental clicks. The best thing is that offers wireless N support along with 802.11 g Wi-Fi. It has 3 USB ports, an Ether port, a VGA out and few audio ports.
The “Compaq Presario CQ60-615DX” is powered by single core Intel Celeron 900 processor that runs at 2.2GHz frequency. It also has 1MB of Cache Memory. The Presario features 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM. The Presario outperforms the AMD Athlon 64 QL-62 processor (1.6GHz) powered Acer Aspire AS5532-5535 in many performance tests. It provides faster 250GB of hard drive. Windows 7 Home Premium is preinstalled with this laptop; with this system appears pretty responsive and peppy. Overall, the performance is satisfactory. It handles photoshop, iTunes and web browsing with some sluggishness, but it is acceptable.
The Presario has six cell batteries. It manages to offer battery life of 2 hours 45 minutes on continuous video playback. The battery may last more on performing normal tasks like Office tasks and casual web browsing.
HP includes a standard one year warranty on parts and labor. HP offers 24×7 telephone support and email support. HP lets you to live chat with their technical representative. It offers details FAQ book; you can troubleshoot the problem yourself. You can also extend the warranty for this laptop, but it may cost some more bucks.

I wanted to see some feedback from others… Battery Life is pretty bad. It seems I’m always plugging in. When I’m not plugged in I have to put my screen brightness all the way down to get better battery life. I can’t run much either or within an hour the battery is done. Another problem I’ve noticed is the wifi keeps cutting out. At my school (I need to ask some other people if they noticed this), at home, at starbucks, etc. I also noticed sometime it won’t turn on so I have to pop the battery out and put it back in. I’ve only had this laptop for 13 days so…I don’t know what’s up.
