Acer announces its new five Smartphones where two of which is coming with Windows Mobile 6.5 and remaining three is coupled with Android Operating System. Acer this time seems to have become more serious than ever for penetrating the strong market with variety of new features also offering various affordable prices for its array of phone.
The 3 Android phones are the Acer’s BeTouch E400, Liquid E, BeTouch E110 and each one of the phones sits within a slot of the Android spectrum. Acer Liquid E is the higher end Android device that runs on 2.1 version software. It has a capacitive touchscreen measuring 3.5”. It is also equipped with a 768 MHz Qualcomm processor and a 5 megapixel camera.
Next, Acer’s BeTouch E400 belongs to the mid range phone that has been equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 3.2 inch WVGA touchscreen, 2.1 software and runs by 600 MHz Qualcomm processor. Coming to BeTouch E110, it is a low end Android device that runs on Android 1.5 operating system. It is powered by ST Ericsson processor and has a touch screen of size 2.8 inches. Acer fixes the Liquid E price to be $500, BeTouch E110 to be around $200 and finally BeTouch E400 to be $300.
Acer’s NeoTouch P400 and NeoTouch P300 run on Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Operating system. It offers an integrated 3.2 megapixel camera; 3.2 inches touch screens and Wi-Fi. The basic difference between the two models is that P300 comes with a QWERTY type of keyboard and runs on a comparatively slower processor. The prices for the 2 phones are not yet announced. Al though with the statement of Windows Phone 7 Series, the declaration of these two windows phones look bit dated.
