I was also frustrated with the cheap witch-hazel pads because although they only reduce swelling, they do nothing for the pain, the itch and to support healing. So, just FYI, I found a product that does support healing, reduce swelling, gets rid of the itch and pain. A good find… and worth a try. I’m not usually one to be talking about products for “down-under”, but these are really good. I got them from a company called Nature’s Rite and they say “Hemorrhoid Relief” on the label. There are lots of good herbs in there, not sure what they all do, but these pads really helped me a lot.
The information your provided regards adding fiber to ones diet is one of the keys to the long term treatment of hemorrhoids, that along with your tips about hydration are very important.
