Mario Game – Unforgettable
Ask a teenager who is in his early 20s about his childhood memories and he will surely try to convince you that the video games he played during his childhood were the best. He can’t finish without talking about “Mario” and “Contra”. Such was the craze of the 8 bit console games during late 1980s and early 1990s.
The jumping character Mario in the game gave the player extraordinary powers to counter his main enemy “Bowser” in the “Mushroom Land” and save the princess named “Toadstool”. There was so much to explore in the game. It contained 8 worlds and each of the world had 4 fields. It was sheer thrill and became the passion of the kids those in days. Computers were a rare entity and Internet was still way too advanced in those days. Thus it served to be a perfect food for entertainment.
It seemed Mario could do anything. He could easily kill his enemies by just jumping and stomping over them. The way he died was a fun to watch which resembled to a telephone structure. He could easily conquer the castle once he had fire bullets with him. Kids like me went crazy after it and always demanded for more. Its music is world famous and will always make the kids excited.
Mario was developed by Nintendo in early 1980s and since then has been updated in the forms of its successors like Super Mario Bros., Super Mario All Stars, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe and several Flash games. It was a perfect entertainer especially during the summer vacations.
Though several advance virtual reality games exist now but Mario will be always be there in our heart to tickle us.
