LG Incite Review
With the huge range of 3G phones pouring in the market from all companies there is one that is my personal favorite and it really stands out in its features. It has to be LG Incite for me. It
also reminds me of the old Moto RAZR. Read on to find out why this is our technical panel’s favorite.
Good Features:
- Class 10 GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB; really good connectivity
- 128 RAM, 256 ROM with extendable to 16 GB; Huge advantage to store data.
- Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional as OS is remarkable.
- SMS,MMS, EMS, Email, IM; all that you needed
- Pocket Office, AT&T Navigator, the best in the market
- FM Radio is good for light entertainment.
- 2G Network- GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and 3G network HSDPA 850/1900/2100
- TFT resistive touch screen, 256K colors
The features you may not like: the size is bulging the weight is heavy, the camera does not offer good clarity, you can wish for infra red.
The features are great for any average users and a must buy.

I found this phone to be terribly slow and poorly designed.
The thing that I noticed about the positive reviews is that they seem to have mostly been conducted by folks who are simply unboxing the phone and seeing what it can be made to do.
If you actually try to use the phone like I do on a day to day basis (I do not have a land line and also need to use the smartphone features) you find that the slow performance is beyond infuriating.
The act of successfully launching a phone call vai bluetooth has, for me been successful about 60-70 percent of the time.
The unit is so slow that when navigating touch tone menus one can easily lose ones way as it may take a fair amount of time for the screen to turn on and the phone to respond to the number that was touched.
What I refer to as the craptic feedback only informs you that the phone is aware that you touched it. It does not mean that the icon under your finger will activate or that you have even touched an icon.
There is no way to have a one touch bluetooth sync with outlook (my last nokia had a zero touch sync strategy and it wasn’t even a smart phone).
I am on my 4th hard reset, countless battery pulls and a couple of soft resets.
Admittedly, it seems that the performance is better after the last reset but what a frustrating journey it has been.
Over all, if you NEED the features that are included on this phone, this is not the phone for you. If you WANT these features pick one up you will be happy with it.

This is not a well designed phone. It is sluggish, has a poor touch screen, and poor signal sensitivity.
I have had this phone for a week and am not happy with it.
It drops calls, even with three bars when I am sitting still.
It says it cannot connect to the AT&T network when turned on about 30% of the time.
The case has several flimsy design features. I keep wondering just how long it is going to last.
I would tell LG, go back and try again. This one just does not have what it takes.

This review is so completely off base I can’t even believe it. I have had the LG Incite for 6 months and it is the worst phone I have ever owned hands down. I hate this phone so stinking much. The reviewer is right, it has neat features out of the box and looks nice. Try using it for a few months and see how much you hate this phone. A simple text message takes 10 minutes to send because the touch screen is a joke (even if you use the stylus). Sometimes it takes several minutes to just unlock the phone. Even making a normal phone call is impossible without having to re-enter numbers several times. I usually have to resort to the stylus just to dial, and even this is hard to do. The touch screen will also not work with your finger tips, you have to angle your fingernail just right to get it to sense your touch. I have tried aligning the screen over and over, and this barely helps. It also seems to go out of alignment regularly, too. This phone is a total joke and it really says a lot about the LG brand that they would sell such a frustratinly sub-standard phone. I will never buy an LG product again, and if I get another touch phone it will only be an Iphone. Otherwise, I’m going back to a nice simple flip phone. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE–YOU WILL BE SORELY DISAPPOINTED. I am so disgusted that I spent so much money on such a piece of complete garbage.

I agree, this phone has been nothing but trouble lately. I constantly have to re-align the screen, it rarely wants to respond… I did a windows mobile upgrade… NOTHING!!!! it didn’t help at all. AT&T knows this phone is crap, that’s why you can’t find it in the store. The thing that bothers me the most is the dropped calls. This phone makes me never want to get a touchscreen ever again.
