Heart is one of the most important organs of our body that seeks adequate care and maintenance. Many of them never think about the disease causing factors until and unless something goes wrong and by the time when they start to take measures it will be too late. It is not only the responsibility of doctor to look after the heart health. It is necessary to monitor your health by having blood pressure cuffs and heart rate monitors at home, especially it is recommended for those who are diagnosed with hypertension that leads to worse conditions like heart attack, stroke and kidney failure.

Research tells that men are more prone to heart diseases than women because of the irresponsibility, improper dieting and unhealthy lifestyle. As the body ages, the organs become less effective in their functioning and the fact is that the heart diseases are hereditary in nature too. One has to maintain a healthy weight in order to keep heart problems away from us. It is better to cut down processed, packaged foods and fats that are rich in high saturated and sugar contents.

Adding more and more vegetables and fruits in our daily diet is beneficial since it ensures the easy oxygen flow in the body and thus the heart is supplied with required amount of nitric oxide which is necessary for a healthy heart and a longer life. Cut down fat foods that may increase the blood cholesterol level that directly affects the heart. You can switch over to foods that contain low saturated fats, for example soya oil, sunflower oil that are not harmful to heart.

Regular Exercises keeps body fit because they help in easy flow of oxygen and blood through out the body. Consumption of fishes that are loaded with fatty acids is good for heart health instead of vegetable oils. Salt intake must be reduced. Drinking plenty of water is good for overall body health. Smoking is very dangerous for heart health. The first step towards improving the heart health is by avoiding smoking habit.

Regular doctor check up is recommended. Even though we go for a regular check up’s for knowing the condition of our health, it is good to know and analyze ourselves about the symptoms and conditions of our heart. Plan your healthy lifestyle by including a good diet with some good exercise. This is one of the best means of improving heart’s health.

One has to maintain a healthy weight in order to keep healthy heart. Finally, Mediterranean diet which has low cholesterol levels is an apt for those who suffer from heart related diseases.

A new study by researchers at the Heart Institute at Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City claims that Vitamin D, in particular, has strong correlations to healthy heart, and that a deficiency of Vitamin D may substantially increase one’s risk for stroke and heart disease.
