How to Improve Your Memory

Memory is one of the most important parts of the brain. We analyze the things based on our memory. To remember a name of a person also we need memory. So memory plays an important part in our life without which nothing will be possible. We always loose our memory very soon it may be due health or the mental problem. One can improve the memory by using the following steps.

1. Convince yourself that you do have a good memory: People always think negatively like they lack memory. It’s better to erase such thoughts and go forward to make achievements and wonders. Be confident about your self.

2. Good sleep: Sleep is also a kind of medicine for the brain to get relaxed. Sleep helps to recall the recently learnt information. Minimum of (7) Seven hours a night sleep will keep the short-term and also the long term memory, said by the studies conducted at Harvard Medical School.

3. Meditation: It’s scientifically proved that it reduces the mental stress and relaxes the brain. It has also got additional health benefits. The main thing here is to forget the environment, quit all the thinking and focus on the breathing.

4. Proper food: There are lots of herbal supplements available in the market to raise the memory power but none of them worked effectively. A healthy diet includes a healthy brain, food containing broccoli, spinach, blueberries, Vitamin-E, Vitamin B-6, Niacin etc. Don’t take large meals instead take light food may be for a gap of 2hrs or 3hrs.

5. Exercise your brain: Regular exercise improves in growing the brain and also leads to development of new nerve. Try to cultivate mental skills like learning new language, challenging your brain to perform puzzles, play chess etc, to make your brain active and improves physical functioning. Try to practice the puzzles or sudoku everyday at least for minimum 30min.

Important Tips:

1. To remember start writing down the things so that the mind engages.
2. Revise the things learnt before going to sleep.
3. Make a note in the telephone to do any task.
4. Make your mind relax
