HCL Laptops – “ME” for You

Keeping the intention of increasing the percent of segments in market share from 7 to 20 percent in another 2 to 4 years, HCL has rebranded its laptops as “ME”. HCL plans on improving their efficiency on the tasks like ‘Data Recovery’, Sharing a very large file with ease’, ‘Data Saving by Locking’ and also ‘Special Protection towards Phishing attacks’.

ME Laptops are empowered by Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium OS having Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor (2.1 GHz), RAM ranges between 2GB and 4GB, and a Hard Disk of 320GB. A Little disappointing fact is that when comes to the monitor due to its age old 14” WXGA with a resolution of 1280 x 800. Interface provided between the photos in the camera and the laptop by means of 4 in 1 card reader. HCL could have concentrated more on the weight of the laptops as they weigh 2.5 kgs certainly any one can feel it’s a bulky one. Battery life is too short having a span of 2.4 hours and 4 hours of idle time.

ME comes with a video camera of 2 mega pixel resolution, capable of taking still images. It is also an integration of v2.0 Bluetooth, internal microphone, built in loud speakers provides high quality music. Some HCL laptops have adopted Advanced Thermal Engineering Technology (ATET), which allows clients to enjoy both multimedia applications as well as computing operations.
