Google has advanced its application in Google Maps Navigation for devices based on Android 2.0. Google has always helped us in showing directions through Google maps, but only thing that was lacking in it was voice-guided navigation. Now Google has taken that lead too for Android 2.0 devices.
This application consists of fully functional GPS system, 3D-view, turn – by – turn voice guidance and automatic rerouting. Seven more additional features are included with this, which are dependant on mobile broadband connection. These applications use network data for every process, so better be on a flat data rate to effectively use this new navigation.
The seven extra features embraced in it are maps & business data from Google maps, voice control, Google search integration, business searching along the main route like searching gas station, parking locations, restaurants, avenue locations, satellite view and live traffic facts. The best part in this is that the whole thing is free of cost. Yeah!! It is true! Only data charges are imposed by your carrier but the entire Google Map Navigation is free!!! It doesn’t make you lose a pie on navigation.
The Google Map Navigation is primarily available in US only, but it is recommended to follow in each and every country, so that navigating places will be easier. The first handset which will be imminent with this beta version of Navigation is CDMA based Motorola DROID from Verizon.
