CAT admission procedure

Common Admission Test conducted by the renowned Business school Indian Institute of Management for PG level management degrees. Being one of the leading and reputed business school it has made progress as powerful Alumni over the years. Aspiring management students envisage Indian Institute of management as the road to success. With the placements recording sky high offers it’s an attractive destination for budding managers. Hence CAT scores seem to qualify with institutes apart from the IIM’s.
Overview of CAT Admission:
1. The written test is the most important aspect in qualifying candidates for further rounds. The written round comprises of multiple choice questions with negative marking for an error in answer. It consists of three sections namely Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. The questions range from various topics such as geometry, arithmetic, puzzles, statistics etc with the time duration varying every year.
2. The second round comprises of group discussion with the short listed candidates who have received calls from any of the IIM’s are eligible. The first round is valued on basis of percentile.
3. The last round is the Personal Interview wherein candidates are screened on basis of their work experience, academic performance ,extra-curricular activities and various other traits.
