The most regular and common injuries occur at the knee portion of the body that kepp you out of action for months together. also it is an indicative sign that necessitates change in posture, speed or training regimen etc.One of the major variables that affect the kneecap is imbalance in Muscular movements, hence experts advice the beginners to increase the distance by not more than 10% a week so as to avoid soreness.

Ways to reduce it in the initial stage is to identify the muscular imbalance. Also the technique by which the foot is placed on the ground wherein the entire foot should be in contact with the surface with neither the heel or toes contacting the surface initially. Hence it is advised to equip oneself with a proper gear (running Shoes) so as to absorb shock through soles.

Another cause is overtraining wherein a band of tissue (iliotibial) located at the lateral face of the leg. In the process of training (running) the aforementioned muscle might twitch leading to tightening of muscle.
Hence it is necessary to adopt stretches within the training regimen and schedule that are mainly targeted upon upper thighs and hip regions. Before hard stretching is resumed warm-up is preferred so as to improve the flexibility of the muscles and hinder the deformation process of the muscle. This is followed by dynamic stretching that augments loosening of muscles.
