Swine influenza virus is a virus belongs to influenza family which usually comes from pigs. The sub-types of the influenza a virus areH3N1, H3N2, H1N1, H1N2 and H2N3.Swine Influenza is world wide common throughout pig populations.

Swine influenza occurs with the people who work with pigs; especially with intense exposures have high probability of catching the flu.

The outbreak of 2009 flu in humans is because of the influenza a virus which is subtype H1N1.world health organization report that this strain can transmitted from humans-humans and which causes the normal symptoms of influenza.

Prevention of swine influenza;

1) Prevention in humans

i) Prevention from pigs: The transmission from swine to human occurs only in swine farms were persons will be close contacts with pigs (live).

ii) Prevention of human to human transmission: Spread between humans through cough, sneezing and people touches something which has got virus and then touching there own parts.

2) Prevention in swine: Preventing influenza among swine includes vaccination, herd and facility management.

Symptoms:

Swine: fever, sneezing, difficulty breathing and coughing.

Humans: Cough, headache, chill, vomiting diarrhea, fever and sore throat

Treatment:

Humans: If a person attacked by the swine flu then providing the antiviral drugs make the person to feel better. The US centers for disease control and prevention recommends zanamivir and oseltamivir
