Honda VFR 1200 review
Japan’s top automobile manufacturers Honda going to launch VFR1200cc which is going to be replacement for the blackbird. Vehicle is packed with the anti-crash electronics and which is capable of making a speed of 200mph.
Enough power and speed to make you a favorite target for the police interceptors.
Single-sided swing arm component of the rear suspension incorporates the shaft drive BMW style for neatness and for the ease of maintenance.
Technically designed good finished frame hints at the huge performance to come form the motor which reveals the engine’s V.
Engine and gear box;
1200cc engine narrow enough to easily fit b/w the rider’s knee. It has got variable cylinder control. With the conventional gear lever, along with semi-automatic system.
Engine can shut down the rear bank cylinders when ever there is a less load.
Four cylinder motor cycle engine, usually engine will work on only two cylinders. The only time when one ready to launch all the four cylinder will work
One can find the conventional engineering, bland styling in this bike

Why would I buy a 1200cc bike and pay double insuance only to have it turn into a 600cc bike?
Why would you want to use more gas than you have to? When cruising at steady states you don’t need 1200cc. BTW, my insurance for my RC51 is only $5 more a month than my 600rr was…
Boring! The Blackbird is still the best all around bike Honda ever created. Who needs a V4? How about something different? Say a longitudinal 1200cc V8 al la Moto Guzzi?
Scott has a good point.
Bob, however, you might be surprised to learn that Honda’s new V4 achieves significantly better fuel economy than the excellent 781cc engine that has powered the Interceptor for the last decade.
Bruce : fa un cuolo
Let’s hope that Honda offers a 750cc VFR for those of us who don’t really need 200hp.
Yo yo yo wiggy de wack…
That be one slamming ride yo!
Bland is in the eye of the beholder. We’ve got 3 pix here one of a bloke’s leg. You gonna call bland off that piddlin info?? There’s a nice video on y’tube, check it out Michelangelo, you might rethink it. Oh, and if ya cant afford it, well tha’s ok slim but dont mess another’s goodtime yo. This is a USA special if ever there was, thing’ll suck up Kansas in about a minute. Honda’s back! Blackbird was shite anyway, couldnt turn it, ever ride one on a tight bumpy road ?
ciao
After the release: This bike apparently takes drive train, throttle control, exhaust, paint and seat technologies to a new level. Well done Honda! Looks like now their making BMW s and custom Harley s.
Its a nice BMW!
some web sites put the price around 16K
I like to see some sort of built in frame sliders for protection for all that expensive fairings etc.
I would like to see the bike weigh about 1oo pounds less. However, I’m impressed enough that I put down a deposit on one yesterday. The current VFR is a very nice bike, just a bit short on power for me. This bike solves that problem and then some! Why a V4? There is nothing that compares with the sound of a V4 with after-market exhaust.

It would be nice if the VFR1200 could weigh in at around 200kg
This is a rather institutional looking bike from Honda, who now seems hell bent on emulating BMW in looks and electronics. It is doubtful that a rider would ride for any length of time at Blackbird speeds with this one, even though it is more powerful, due to the more upright position of the rider. Personally i think that the new direction these guys are going in with design is going to alienate us older supporters of the brand, we all have cars already and two wheeled cars (this is heavy enough!) are not what we want !
very fast quick in the bends looks good and the option of sports bike one day and touring the next with the panniers on .bring it on with your r1
